Check home, work and regular journeys with the provider map and Ofcom’s mobile coverage tool. Indoor and outdoor predictions differ. Population reach should not be read as coverage of every part of the country.
Include the equipment
The phone’s bands, software and calling support affect results. Building materials, terrain and busy periods also matter. A network icon cannot guarantee a specific speed or reliable indoor call.
Record useful observations
Note place, time and whether calling, texts or data failed. Compare outdoors where safe and at a different time. A short pattern of evidence helps official support decide what to investigate.
